The front bumper is more chiseled too and sports a slimmer set of air vents. The A3 is the definitive entry level sedan in the premium segment. It’s an impeccably well built machine which does everything right, and offers a well-built, well-equipped, well-styled product to its target audience.

The prices for the car are yet to be announced and we will get back to you with our final verdict on the car once that happens. For its segment, the road manners of the A3 are absolutely impeccable and cannot be faulted. Finally, the MMI controls on the floating panel between the front seats have been reduced to two from an earlier four for ease of operation and more intuitiveness.

Features/equipment in an automobile that ensure safety of passengers as well as pedestrians. The MMI Touch includes a touch sensitive control panel integrated in the central rotary/push button. Although only the audi a3 facelift is seen in these images, we can safely assume that the superb hatchback along with the S3 and RS3 — no longer available in Canada — will get similar updates. It really does feel like it was just yesterday when Audi revealed the new larger and more elegant A3 sedan. Considerably longer, and slightly wider and taller than the previous sedan, the current A3 looks dashing to this day and few would ever think it needs an update, much less an entire mid-cycle refresh. Let’s have a look at how the new A3 differs from the outgoing model.

Compared with its predecessor, the new A3 Sedan is 4 cm longer (4.50 meters), 2 cm wider (1.82 meters), and 1 cm taller (1.43 meters). Like the previous generation, the new S3 also comes as a saloon/sedan. After some delays, the A3 Sportback e-Tron went on sale across Europe in August 2014. As of December 2015, global sales totaled 12,994 units, of which, 12,945 units were registered in Europe, and 49 units in the United States, where deliveries began in December 2015. For the 2020 model year, the vehicle is exclusively built at the Ingolstadt plant, as opposed to previous model years where sedans and convertibles were built at the Győr plant. Audi claims performance of 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 6.6 seconds with a top speed of 149 mph (240 km/h).

An important thing to note here is that while Audi has introduced LED tech for the headlamps, there would be lower priced variants available sans the feature. Also, as goes with almost every mid-life refresh, the bumpers have been restyled to look sportier. The new two-dimensional Audi badge will be applied on the grille, while some minor exterior details will be revised. The side air intakes look to have been enlarged and to the rear we can see a new design of bumper, plus a different reflector position. In 2009, the 1.6 L eight-valve petrol engine was replaced by a turbocharged 1.2 TFSI engine already found in VW’s Polo and Golf models. This engine is rated at 105 PS (77 kW; 104 hp) and 175 N⋅m (129 lb⋅ft), emitting 127 g/km of CO2.
